Labels are a flexible way to organize and group creators and social profiles across Archive. This is the hub for managing them: adding, removing, renaming or merging, and deleting. Each action links to its full step-by-step guide — and the rename/merge workaround, which has no direct button in the app, is documented here.
Adding Labels
Add a label to a creator, social profile, or content item — either by selecting an existing label or typing a new name and creating it on the spot. On the Creators page, click the Set Labels field next to a creator, then pick an existing label or choose Create: {label name}. Full steps for each surface:

Removing Labels
Remove a label from a creator, social profile, or content item by clicking the applied label to deselect it. See Removing Labels for the steps on each page.
📋 Note: Removing a label from a creator does not delete the label from your account. It remains available to apply to other creators.
Renaming or Merging Labels
Archive doesn't have a native "rename" or "merge" action for labels. The closest equivalent is a manual reassignment:
Create a new label with the name you want.
Apply the new label to all creators that currently carry the old label.
Remove the old label from those creators.
Contact support to have the old label deleted once it is no longer in use (see Deleting a Label below).
You can also do this in bulk by uploading a CSV that maps each creator carrying the old label to the new label name. Once the file is uploaded, contact support to delete the old label.
📋 Note: If the goal is to merge two labels into one, follow the same process: pick the label name you want to keep, apply it to all creators currently carrying either label, then request deletion of the one you want to remove.
Deleting a Label
Deleting a label from your workspace can't be done in the app — you request it from our support team. See Deleting a Label from Your Workspace for the full process (you'll need your Workspace ID and the exact label name).
⚠️ Caution: Deleting a label removes it from every creator and social profile it has been applied to. This cannot be undone.
