Labels help you organize creators in your workspace, but unlike most label actions, deleting a label from your workspace entirely cannot be done through the Archive UI. This article explains how to request a label deletion through our support team and what to expect during the process.

Before You Begin

Keep the following in mind before submitting a deletion request:

  • One label per ticket: Support can only delete one label at a time per support request. If you need to delete multiple labels, please submit a separate ticket for each one.

  • Deletion is permanent: Once a label is deleted from your workspace, it cannot be recovered. Make sure you no longer need the label before requesting deletion.

  • This applies to all plans: Label deletion via support is available regardless of your plan (Startup, Growth, or Enterprise).

How to Request a Label Deletion

Step 1: Identify the Label Name and Your Workspace ID

  1. Navigate to your Archive workspace and locate the exact name of the label you want to delete. Copy it carefully β€” the name must match exactly when you contact support.

  2. Find your Workspace ID by going to Settings (accessible from the bottom-left corner of the app). Your Workspace ID is displayed at the bottom of the Settings panel.

Step 2: Contact Archive Support

Reach out to the Archive support team using our Live Chat: Open the chat widget from within your Archive workspace.

Step 3: Provide the Required Information

In your message, include the following details so support can process your request quickly:

  • Your Workspace ID

  • The exact name of the label you want deleted

Once support receives this information, they will delete the label from your workspace and confirm when it's been completed.

πŸ’‘ Tip: How to Effectively Rename a Label

Archive doesn't have a direct "rename label" option, but you can achieve the same result with this workaround:

  1. Create the new label with the name you want.

  2. Apply the new label in bulk to all relevant creators using the bulk label tools.

  3. Contact support (using the steps above) to delete the old label once all creators have been updated.
