Deleting a label removes it from your workspace and from every creator and social profile that carries it. You can do this yourself in Settings › Creator Labels.
Before You Delete
Deletion is permanent. A deleted label cannot be recovered. You can create a new label with the same name afterwards, but the creators that carried the old one will not get it back.
The creators are not affected. Only the label is removed. No creator, social profile or content item is deleted with it.
Taking a label off one creator is a different action. To do that without deleting the label for everyone, see Removing Labels.
One label at a time. There is no multi-select for deleting labels in bulk.
Deleting a Label
Open Settings › Creator Labels.
Find the label in the list (or use Search labels), click the ••• menu on its row, and choose Delete.
Check the confirmation. It tells you how many creators the label will come off — "This removes the label from N creators."
Click Delete label.
🚨 This cannot be undone. The confirmation and its creator count are the last point at which the deletion can be stopped.
Tracking the Deletion
The deletion is queued rather than applied on the spot. A confirmation appears when it starts, with a View in Operations Center link that follows it to completion.
A label applied to tens of thousands of creators can take hours to finish. Until the job completes the label may still appear in filters and on creator records, which is expected rather than a failed deletion.
Common Questions
Can I get a deleted label back?
No. Deletion is permanent, and recreating a label with the same name does not reapply it to the creators that carried the original.
I want to combine two labels rather than delete one. What should I do?
Rename the label you want to lose, giving it the name of the one you want to keep. Archive recognises that the name already exists and turns the rename into a merge, moving the creators across. See Managing Labels.
I deleted a label but it is still showing. Why?
The deletion runs in the background. Check its progress in Operations Center — a very large label can take hours to finish.
