The Sources list shows where Archive collects brand content from and gives you the available management actions for each source. Open Settings, then select Sources.
Understand Your Sources
Each row identifies the platform, source type, name, and current status.
Accounts
An Account source is an Instagram or TikTok account connected to Archive through the platform’s official integration.
Mention Sources
A non-verified mention source is an @handle Archive monitors without a connected account. In the Sources list, it appears as an Instagram Mention or TikTok Mention rather than an Account.
You can view, search for, backfill, or remove an existing mention source from this list. To add a new non-verified mention source or replace one with a different handle, contact Archive Support through the in-app chat and include your Workspace ID, platform, and handle.
Hashtags
A Hashtag source collects matching content from the selected platform. You can add Instagram and TikTok hashtags yourself from the Sources list.
Add a Source
Open Settings → Sources.
Click Add Source.
Choose the account or hashtag source you want to add.
Follow the connection steps for an account, or enter the hashtag without the # symbol.
For platform-specific instructions, see Connecting Instagram & Facebook, Connecting Your TikTok Account, or Tracking Content with Hashtags.
Find and Manage a Source
Use Search sources to find a handle or hashtag.
If your workspace has several sources, use the controls below the table to move between pages or change how many rows appear at once.
Open the ••• menu beside a source to see the actions available for that row.
Backfill history — pull matching content from a date up to 60 days in the past. The backfill runs in the background and counts toward the current month’s UGC limit. For older dates, contact Archive Support. See How to Request a Historical Content Pull.
Remove — stop tracking a hashtag or non-verified mention source. Content already collected stays in your workspace.
Disconnect — disconnect an Instagram or TikTok account from Archive. Existing content stays in your workspace, but Archive stops collecting new content through that connection.
Reconnect — when this action appears, renew a connection that requires authorization again.
Check a Source’s Status
Use the Status column to check whether an account or source is active or needs attention. A disconnected account stops bringing in new content through that connection; reconnect it to resume collection.
A non-verified mention source does not require an account connection. Its capture coverage is different from a connected account; see What Types of User-Generated Content Does Archive Collect? for the supported content types and limitations
Common Questions
Why can’t I add a non-verified mention source from Add Source?
New non-verified mention sources are added by Archive Support. Share the Workspace ID, platform, and exact @handle through the in-app chat.
Does removing or disconnecting a source delete content already collected?
No. Existing content stays in your workspace. The change affects new collection through that source going forward.
Why can’t I select a date more than 60 days ago for a backfill?
The self-serve backfill window is limited to the previous 60 days. Contact Archive Support for an older historical pull.
