Brand Monitoring campaigns capture brand content from your connected UGC sources and keep updating in real time as new posts go live. In most cases, this is the campaign type you want — use it whenever you have at least one source (Instagram or TikTok) connected and want to track your brand's UGC across it. You can verify your connections under Settings → Connected Sources. To follow a known list of creators instead — including when you have no sources connected — create a Creator Monitoring campaign.

A quick walkthrough of the two campaign types and how to set one up:
Creating the Campaign
On the Campaigns page, find the Brand Monitoring section and click Add Campaign to open the New Brand Monitoring Campaign window. Then:
Enter a Campaign name.
Set the Post Date. The Start Date is pre-filled to today. The End Date is optional — leave it as Ongoing to run open-ended, or pick a date.
Choose your Creators — this is the one setting you can't change after creation, so pick carefully:
Any creator — captures posts from your sources that match your content conditions.
A specific list of creators — you add them after creating the campaign.
Set your Content Conditions. This starts with Source is any of All sources — use the tree to limit which connected sources to capture from. Click + to add more conditions, such as an AI Filter (e.g. Sentiment), to narrow captured content using Archive's AI understanding. The AI Filters you can choose from depend on what's enabled and configured on your account, and are rolling out gradually — if you don't see them yet, they're on the way.
(Optional) Check Narrow by custom hashtags or mentions, choose Any or All, and enter your #hashtags / @mentions. This filters only — it won't add sources or find new content.
Click Create. Filtering starts immediately — matching posts appear in the campaign right away. If you chose a specific list of creators, matching starts as soon as you add them.
📋 Note: When you add a creator, Archive pulls in their past content going back to the campaign's start date (Instagram and TikTok), so you can start a campaign with a past start date and still capture the full window.
How the Hashtag and Mention Filter Works
The hashtags and mentions you add are a filter on what you already capture from your connected sources — not a new source. A post appears in the campaign only when both are true:
It came in from a connected source — for example, with your Instagram connected, the creator mentioned your @handle, so Archive pulled the post into Social Listening.
It also matches a hashtag or mention you set here.
So if a creator mentions your brand but doesn't use the hashtag, you'll still see the post in Social Listening — it just won't appear in this campaign. Adding a hashtag here never makes Archive capture every post that uses it.
Workflow Notes
Nothing needs to be prepared in advance. Create the campaign first, then add creators (if you picked a specific list) or refine conditions afterward. There is no setup you have to complete before clicking Create.
Bulk-add creators using Labels. If you already organize creators with Labels (for example, a "gifting" label), you can bulk-add them to a campaign: open the Creators section, filter by the label, use Select All, and add them to the campaign in one action.
Legacy campaigns still work. Any campaigns created before Brand Monitoring and Creator Monitoring launched live under Legacy Campaigns — you can still open, review, and edit them. For anything new (even something similar to a legacy campaign), create it as Brand Monitoring or Creator Monitoring.
Next Steps
Add or refine the creators in your campaign (see Adding Creators to a Campaign). For an overview of the two campaign types and how to manage a campaign, see Getting Started with Campaigns.
