This article explains how Archive handles content published by your own brand accounts and when it can be captured.
Default Behavior
By default, our system does not automatically capture or save content published by your own brand accounts. This ensures that metrics and content collections remain focused on authentic user-generated content (UGC).
Archive Detecting Your Own Content
While Archive does not automatically capture your brand's content, you can request it. Contact Archive Support with the social media handle you want tracked, and our team will add it as an unverified mention source.
Once added, Archive will capture feed posts and Reels where your brand is mentioned. However, since this is an unverified source (not a connected Instagram account), Stories will not be detected through this method.
This is available to all customers regardless of plan.
Exception: Hashtag Tracking
If you are tracking a hashtag that your brand also uses, content posted by your own account with that hashtag will be captured automatically. Hashtag tracking works independently and does not require adding your brand as a source. You can add hashtags directly from Settings > Sources. For more details, see Tracking Content with Hashtags.
Note: Any content captured by Archive that is from your brand will count towards your UGC count and might cause you to hit your UGC limit quickly.
