Using Filter Operators for Labels and Collections

Filter Operators for Labels and Collections

Written by Kylie Decipeda

πŸ“‹ Available on: Available on all plans. The Social Profiles page is available on Startup, Growth, Enterprise, Agency, Custom and Pro plans.

When you filter by Labels or Collections, you can control exactly how the filter matches your content or creators. Instead of a simple checkbox, these filters let you choose an operator β€” which determines the logic behind the match.

Available Operators

  • Contains Any: Returns results where at least one of the selected values is present. This is the default operator and works like an OR condition β€” if a creator or post has any one of the labels or collections you've selected, it shows up. Use this when you want a broad view across multiple labels or collections.

  • Contains All: Returns only results where every selected value is present. This works like an AND condition β€” a creator or post must have all of the labels or collections you've selected to appear. Use this when you need a precise match β€” for example, creators tagged both "Active Campaign" and "VIP".

  • Does Not Contain: Returns results that have none of the selected values. Useful for excluding a specific group from your view.

  • Is Empty: Returns results with no labels or collections applied at all. No value selection needed. Use this to find creators or content that haven't been categorized yet.

  • Is Not Empty: Returns results that have at least one label or collection applied, regardless of which one. No value selection needed. Use this when you want to see everything that's been categorized, without specifying which label or collection.

Where These Operators Apply

These operators are available wherever Labels and/or Collections appear as a filter option:

  • Social Profiles page β€” filter creators by their labels

  • Content library β€” filter posts by the labels on their creator's profile

  • Creators page β€” filter your creator list by labels

FAQ

  • Why don't I see an operator dropdown for other filters?

The operator dropdown only appears for multi-select custom attribute filters like Labels and Collections. Other filter types β€” dates, numbers, text fields β€” use their own input format.

  • Do I need to select values when using "Is Empty" or "Is Not Empty"?

No. Those two operators don't require a value selection β€” they check whether the field has anything in it, not what the value is.

  • Does changing the operator on a saved view affect existing data?

No. Saved views that were created before these operators were available continue to work as before. Changing the operator only affects what you see going forward when you update the view.
