Managing Feature Requests

Request, upvote, and check the status of features through Archive's feedback portal.

Written by Luiza Diniz

If you'd like to request a new feature, upvote an existing one, or check the status of a request, you can do all of that through Archive's feedback portal at https://feedback.archive.com/. No need to go through support — you can submit directly from the portal in just a few steps.

Requesting a Feature

To submit a new feature request to Archive's feedback portal:

  1. Once on the dashboard, locate and click the +New Post button.

  2. Complete the feature request form:

    • Provide a clear title for your request

    • Provide detailed information about your desired feature

    • Include specific use cases or examples

    • Enter your Archive-registered email address to receive updates about your request's progress

  3. After reviewing your submission, click the New Post button to submit your request.

💡 Note: Using your Archive-registered email is what connects the request to your account, so you get notified about comments and status changes. The more specific your description, the easier it is for the team to act on it.

Upvoting a Feature

Help shape Archive's development by upvoting features that would benefit your workflow. Here's how to upvote an existing feature request:

  1. Browse through the existing feature requests using either:

    • The main dashboard to view all requests

    • The search field to find specific features

  2. Select the feature request you'd like to support.

  3. Login to your account or create a new one if you haven't registered yet. This ensures you'll receive notifications about updates to the feature request.

  4. Click the arrow beside the title.

  5. Optionally, add a comment to:

    • Share your specific use case

    • Provide additional context

    • Explain why this feature would be valuable

Checking Feature Request Status

To track the status of feature requests you've submitted or are interested in:

  1. Login to your account to access your personal dashboard.

  2. Click on your profile to view:

    • Features you've requested

    • Requests you've upvoted

    • Status updates on tracked features

Requests move through these statuses: In Review, To Validate, Planned, In Progress, Implemented – Alpha Version, Implemented - General Availability, and Currently Out of Scope.

Implemented – Alpha Version means the feature has shipped to a limited set of workspaces, so it may not be available in yours yet.

The board shows active requests by default. To see requests that are already implemented or out of scope, open the filter next to Recent / Popular, choose Status, and select the ones you want. You do not need to be signed in to browse or filter.

💡 Note: If your request overlaps one that already exists, the team may merge them so the votes and comments sit in one place. Your upvote and your notifications move to the combined request, and you keep receiving email updates there.
