You can customize and save a default message when requesting Usage Rights from a Social Profile.
Customizing Your Usage Rights Request Message
Click the Request Usage Rights link located at the bottom of the asset for which you wish to request Usage Rights, then choose Request Usage Rights from the menu that appears.
Edit the message in the text box where you initially find the default Usage Rights request.
If you want to make this customized message your default template for future requests, click the Save as default link next to the Message label.
You'll have two options to send the message:
If you conversed with the creator in the last 24 hours, you can click on Submit a Request.
If you have not conversed with the creator in the last 24 hours, the button reads Add to Queue and the request is queued. Archive automatically retries sending it every 3 hours for up to about 3 days. If a retry goes through, or the creator DMs you first, the status changes to Requested. If the retry window ends without a successful send, the status moves to Failed. If you want to send it as soon as possible, you need to click the "Send DM Request" button from the Manage Rights page. This would automatically copy the message and link to your clipboard and redirect you to your direct messages with the creator. Next, you'll just have to paste the one Archive copied to your clipboard and send it as a direct message.
From then on, your custom message will appear in the text box whenever you request Usage Rights. You'll always have a chance to customize it further before you hit send.
đ Note: Only the initial request message is customizable. Archive sends no follow-up message after the creator taps Approve or Reject â see All About Usage Rights Requests for what the creator sees.
