Archive automatically detects content you’re tagged in. Your account should be set up correctly to ensure we detect all the story mentions, posts, and reels.

Why are your Instagram stories, posts, and reels not showing up in Archive dashboard?

It might be because your Instagram is not connected to your Facebook page or because your Instagram access to messages is disabled. To ensure your account is connected, you can follow the step-by-step process via mobile for both scenarios.

Allowing Facebook to access your Instagram Direct Messages

Enabling Message Access (Mobile App)

  1. Go to your Instagram profile

  2. Select Settings and activity

  3. Under How others can interact with you, select Messages and story replies

  4. Tap Message controls

  5. Under Connected tools, enable Allow access to messages

Enabling Message Access (Desktop)

  1. Log in to Facebook and select Pages from the left tab menu

  2. Select the desired Facebook Page you want to connect

  3. Once you have accessed your Facebook page, click Settings from the left tab menu

  4. Scroll down and click on Linked accounts from your left tab menu

  5. Choose Instagram by clicking on the View button

  6. Toggle "Allow access to Instagram messages in Inbox"

  7. Log in to your Instagram account when prompted to confirm the permission

⚠️ Critical: This permission is essential for Archive's core functionality. Without it, Archive cannot detect Stories where your brand has been mentioned.

Connecting your Instagram to your Facebook Page

  1. Go to your Instagram profile.

  2. Select Edit profile.

  3. Under Public business information, select Page.

  4. Tap Create Facebook Page or Connect an existing Page.

  5. Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a new Facebook Page.

  6. Tap Done after you've selected a Page or created a new Page.

Your professional account is now connected to a Facebook Page. If the Page you'd like to connect to is not showing in the drop-down from your profile, it may be because you don't have Facebook access to that Page. Check your Page's settings and make sure you have permission to add that Page to your Instagram professional account.
