Social Flirting is a specialized Archive workspace built around real-time community engagement. The goal is to comment on tagged or relevant creator content quickly — typically within 24 hours of posting — to build loyalty with micro-creators and stay ahead of competitor engagement.

What Social Flirting Is For

A Social Flirting workspace is designed for teams whose primary job is to engage with creator content, not just monitor it. It pairs Archive's content capture with workflows for finding the right posts to comment on, drafting on-brand replies, and measuring the return on that engagement effort.

Typical north-star goals:

  • Engage with tagged content within 24 hours of posting.

  • Build loyalty with micro-creators (e.g. 1,000+ views, 3,000+ followers).

  • Beat competitors to the comment on shared content.

Key Features

Filter Presets

Filter presets are saved search configurations tailored to community engagement workflows — for example, "tagged content from the last 24 hours with 1k+ views" or "creator posts in a target market." Presets are checked automatically on a schedule, surfacing fresh content to engage with at the top of your queue.

Top Comments and Tracked Commenters

Social Flirting workspaces track high-performing comments and the influencers most active in your community. The tracked commenter list is refreshed automatically so the workspace always reflects the most relevant voices.

AI Comment Generator

The AI comment generator drafts on-brand replies for selected posts. It adapts to your brand's tone of voice based on examples and configuration, so suggested comments feel native to the brand rather than generic.

TikTok Discovery

Social Flirting workspaces include a TikTok trending discovery layer that surfaces relevant hashtags and content beyond what is captured by your standard tracked terms.

ROI Dashboard

The ROI tab translates your Social Flirting effort into cost-per-engagement metrics, based on the annual contract value of the workspace.

Configuration

The ROI dashboard requires two values to display correctly:

  • Annual subscription value — the total contract amount tied to the Social Flirting workspace, in your billing currency.

  • Subscription date range — the start and end dates of the subscription period the dashboard should attribute spend to.

📋 Note: These two values are not currently self-serve. To set or update them, contact your Customer Success Manager or Archive Support with the desired amount, currency, and date range.

How the Numbers Are Calculated

The dashboard uses the following formulas:

  • Spend in the selected period — pro-rates the annual subscription to match the filter range:
    (annual_subscription ÷ days_in_subscription_window) × days_in_selected_filter_range

  • Cost per Viewannual_subscription ÷ earned_views

  • Cost per Likeannual_subscription ÷ total_likes

  • Cost per Replyannual_subscription ÷ total_replies

  • Cost per Engagementannual_subscription ÷ (total_likes + total_replies)

All cost-per-metric values use the full annual subscription as the numerator, regardless of the filter range. This means the per-engagement values reflect the average cost over the entire subscription, not just the filter window.

Current Limitations

  • ROI configuration is not self-serve. Annual subscription value, currency, and date range must currently be set by the Archive team. Contact your Customer Success Manager to update them.

  • Response time metric (post live → first comment) is not yet a native metric. The underlying data exists (post timestamp, ingestion timestamp, engagement timestamp), but it is not surfaced as a built-in chart. CSV export is available as a workaround for manual calculation.

  • Competitor comment tracking is not currently supported. Tracking competitor engagement (e.g. comments left by competitor brand accounts on shared content) is on the roadmap but not yet available.

Common Questions

  • How do I change the currency or annual subscription value on the ROI dashboard?

Contact your Customer Success Manager or Archive Support with the desired amount, currency, and subscription date range. The Archive team will update the configuration on your behalf.

  • Why does Cost per Engagement use the full annual subscription instead of pro-rating?

Cost-per-metric values are designed to reflect the average cost over the entire subscription, not just the filter window. The pro-rated value (the big number at the top of the dashboard) shows how much of the subscription corresponds to the selected filter range.

  • Can I track how fast my team responds to tagged content?

Not as a native metric yet. As an interim solution, export the underlying data via CSV and calculate the difference between post timestamp and first-comment timestamp manually. Native response-time reporting is on the roadmap.

  • Does Social Flirting capture content the same way as a regular Archive workspace?

Yes. The standard content capture pipeline (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube tracked terms, channel sources, etc.) applies. Social Flirting adds an engagement layer on top — filter presets, tracked commenters, the AI comment generator, and the ROI dashboard.
