No. When a new month starts your limit resets and new content is captured normally, but content hidden in a previous month stays hidden — the reset does not release it. You can spend the new month’s allowance on that backlog, but you have to do it deliberately.

How It Works
When you hit your monthly UGC limit, Archive keeps capturing everything — the additional content is hidden from your workspace but still collected in the background.
Which content is hidden is based on the month it entered Archive (the ingest month), not the month it was originally posted. When the content that entered Archive in a given month exceeds your monthly limit, the items over that month’s limit are the ones hidden. Historical pulls count against the month they enter Archive, so a batch of past content pulled today counts against this month’s limit.
In the next month, your limit resets and new content is visible normally — but previously hidden content stays hidden.
You may notice greyed-out media cards in your workspace when you approach or exceed your limit. These are placeholder visuals designed to draw attention to your plan limit — they do not represent locked or recoverable content. Only the hidden content banner reflects the actual content that has been captured and affected by your UGC cap.
Example: if your limit is 5,000 UGC and you hit it on April 20th, content that enters Archive on April 25th (whether it was posted that day or pulled in from an earlier date) will still be captured and saved — it will simply appear as hidden. It will not be lost.
How to Unlock Hidden Content
The only way to unlock hidden content from a previous month is to raise your capacity — either by upgrading your plan or by purchasing a UGC add-on pack. The monthly reset does not restore previously hidden content. To increase your capacity, buy a UGC add-on pack from Plans and Billing on Startup and Growth plans, or ask your Customer Success Manager on Enterprise, Agency, and Custom plans.
Plan upgrades and add-on pack purchases no longer unlock hidden content automatically. To release it, choose which months to unlock in the Unlock hidden UGC window in Social Listening. The window lists how much is hidden in each month, and you pick the months you want.
Unlocking spends your current month’s allowance, whichever month you unlock from. If that allowance does not cover everything you selected, the newest content in each month is released first, and whatever you do not spend stays available for new content this month. Below the month list, Archive shows the add-on pack options and how much of your selection they cover — if you have several months hidden, scroll down to see it, since one pack may not cover everything you picked.
How Long Hidden Content Is Kept
Hidden content is kept for at least 12 months from the month it entered Archive, then permanently deleted. Deletion runs on month boundaries, so content that entered in May 2026 is removed in June 2027 rather than on the anniversary itself. After that it cannot be recovered.
The months listed in the unlock window are the dates the content was posted, while the 12 months are counted from when it entered Archive. That is why the card can name an old month as the oldest hidden item — a post from years ago can be hidden if it only entered Archive recently.
