π Available on: Agency Standard 2026 plan and custom agency plans. Non-agency workspaces can request an auth link directly from Archive Support.
Authentication links (auth links) are reusable URLs that connect Instagram and TikTok accounts to an Archive workspace without requiring direct password sharing or admin access to the Archive dashboard. They are most commonly used by agencies and social media managers to onboard client accounts.
What an Auth Link Does
An auth link points to a connection flow that, when completed, attaches the connected Instagram or TikTok account to a specific Archive workspace.
The link is generated per workspace and per platform (one for Instagram, one for TikTok).
The person clicking the link does not need an Archive account.
All accounts connected through the link end up in the workspace the link was generated for.
Generating an Auth Link
Go to your Settings page.
Click on the Agency tab.
Copy the Authentication links for Instagram and TikTok using the copy icon.
Share the link with the team member or client who will complete the connection.
Note: The Agency tab is only visible on agency workspaces. If you need an auth link and don't see this tab, contact Archive Support and we can generate one for you.
The Same Link Can Be Reused
An auth link does not expire after first use. The link itself never changes; what determines the result of each connection is which Facebook (for Instagram) or TikTok account is logged in, and which assets are selected during the flow.
This means:
Multiple Instagram or TikTok accounts can be connected to the same workspace using the same link β including accounts from different brands. This is the standard approach when a workspace is intentionally configured to combine content from multiple brands (for example, an agency managing several clients in one shared workspace, or two related brands that share campaigns).
Different team members can use the same link independently. Each person logs in with their own Facebook or TikTok account, selects the assets they have admin rights over, and the connected account is added to the workspace. Their connections do not interfere with each other.
The link can be saved and reused later. If a connection is lost (for example, after a password change or 2FA reset), the same link can be used to reconnect β no need to request a new one.
π Note: Reusing the link does not merge or share platform permissions between team members. Each person authenticates with their own account and only grants access to assets they have admin rights over.
What Happens After the Connection
After completing the flow, the user is redirected to Archive's login page. They do not need an Archive account β the redirect is part of the current flow and does not affect the connection itself. The connected account will appear in the target workspace's Sources tab shortly after.
Common Questions
Can the same auth link be used to connect Instagram accounts from different brands into the same workspace?
Yes. The link does not change. Each person who uses it logs in with their own Facebook account, selects the assets they have admin access to, and the connected Instagram account is added to the same workspace.
Can two team members use the same link at the same time?
Yes. Each person runs through the flow independently with their own platform login. The connections do not interfere with each other.
What happens if I lose the link?
For agency workspaces, you can copy it again from Settings β Agency. For non-agency workspaces, contact Archive Support and we can resend it.
Does the recipient of the link need an Archive account?
No. The auth link connects the social account directly to your workspace without requiring the recipient to sign up or log in to Archive.
