FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does UGC stand for, and how is it counted?

UGC stands for user-generated content. It refers to any content—such as videos, photos, blog posts, reviews, and more—created and posted by users on online platforms rather than by brands or companies. In the Archive context, UGCs can be from Instagram (Feed posts, Reels, and Stories) and TikTok (videos).

The count trigger occurs when we pull the content and upload it to your workspace. Each piece of content counts as one UGC.

  • How can I determine which plan is best for me?

Our Starter Plan is best for individuals or very small teams just starting out. It includes basic features for UGC management and social listening, but it is important to know that it doesn’t include reporting capabilities.

Our Pro Plan is suitable for small—to medium-sized businesses. It offers more advanced features, such as campaigns, influencer labeling, and basic reporting. It also includes CSV export and Slack notifications.

Our Custom Plans are ideal for larger enterprises or businesses with complex needs. We offer features like custom payment terms, a dedicated account manager, and enterprise support. The plan also includes everything in Pro, plus additional capabilities like historical content import, Competitor Insights, and advanced reporting with EMV. If your company needs a Custom Plan, you can schedule a demo call with one of our specialists. This will help you explore how our tailored solutions can meet your specific needs.

  • What happens if I reach my UGC limit?

Don't worry about losing UGC if you reach your limit. We'll save every piece of UGC, and you'll have 30 days to upgrade your plan to unlock the additional content.

  • If I remove a source, will the content previously collected from it still be counted as UGC?

Yes, the count trigger is when we pull the content and upload it to your workspace. Removing a source will only make the related content disappear from your view, but we may already have pulled them for you.

The only exception is during your onboarding phase, when we will collect a limited number of UGC items, which will not count toward your monthly UGC tally.

  • Will historical content count as UGC?

Yes, once historical content is requested, it will count as UGC since we also need to pull this content. The only difference is that it involves older content.

  • What happened with the Social Profiles limitation?

Our new plans will no longer consider the number of social profiles you have. Instead, we're focusing on the amount of User Generated Content (UGC) we collect for you. Previously, under our old pricing system, each social profile counted towards your limit, regardless of how little content they posted. Now, we will use the volume of UGC as the basis for our pricing.

  • What will happen with my old plan if I don’t subscribe to one of the new plans?

If you choose not to subscribe to one of our new plans, nothing will change with your current plan. However, it's important to note that Archive continually evolves, and we frequently release new features and improvements. By staying on your legacy plan, you won't have access to these new features and enhancements.

  • Can I delete content to decrease my UGC usage?

No, the option to delete content will not be available in our new plans. Deleting content does not change the fact that it has already been pulled by Archive, and the act of pulling content triggers our UGC count.

  • If I store content on a Collection page, would it still appear once I reach the UGC limit?

Yes, the content we've already pulled for you will remain in your workspace. However, if you are subscribed to the Starter plan, the content will be removed from your workspace after two years and, as a result, from your Collection.

  • What happens if I don’t hit the number of UGC based on my plan? Would the count be cumulative?

Nothing happens if you don’t hit the number of UGC based on your plan. The count is not cumulative.

  • Since the content would disappear after 2 years, what happens to the content we have displayed on our website?

UGC that will be deleted from your account will also be deleted from your Shoppable UGC Feeds. If you’re interested in keeping it from your account, you can upgrade your account to the Pro plan or re-upload the content from your computer.
