Archive has redesigned how views are organized with the introduction of view grouping and custom groups. This new system provides better organization and flexibility for managing your content views and collections.

Understanding View Grouping

Archive's new view grouping system transforms how you organize and access your content. The redesign addresses previous limitations and introduces powerful new capabilities for content management.

Before the Update:

  • Users had expandable panels to group each type of views and collections

  • Users were not able to create their own groups to organize somehow views and collections

  • We had a way to create a view or collection from slider, which led to strange flow: you create a view, but it is not really created before you add some filters, and then you should save it

After the Update:

  • Users can create their own groups, name it and add there any type of view (and collections, which are now also as a view under the hood)

  • Users can't edit default groups: Content Views, Collections, Social Profiles Views, Creators Views

  • Users can edit groups they had created. They should hover over group tab, click on ellipsis, and rename or delete group

  • If you delete the group, your views will remain in default groups

Collection to View Transition

To support view grouping fully, Archive has transitioned collections into views. Collections are no longer a separate entity, they now function as UGC tags - each new tag creates a view with the same name. This simplifies the model and moves toward a unified structure.

Key Changes:

  1. Collections are now part of CRM and created as multi-select custom attribute

  2. Custom attribute collection has filter

Collection Filter Features: The collection filter includes multiple options for refined content organization:

  • Include/Exclude: Choose whether to include or exclude specific collections

  • Contains/Does Not Contain: Filter based on content criteria

  • Is Empty/Is Not Empty: Filter collections based on whether they contain content

Collection View Capabilities:

What remains from the previous system:

  1. Show Reporting Stats (toggle)

  2. Copy public link

  3. Rename

  4. Delete

What's new in the updated system:

  1. Add to group

  2. Set up Slack Alert

  3. Ability to change Layout: Cards, List

  4. Import as: Media, CSV file, UGC link

  5. Export CSV

Note: Shoppable UGC Feeds support should be implemented to enable a complete transition.

Creating Custom Groups

Custom Groups allow you to organize your content using any combination of views - Content Views, Collections, Social Profiles Views, and Creator Views. This flexibility helps you create logical groupings that match your workflow and content strategy.

To create a Custom Group:

  1. Navigate to the Groups section in your sidebar

  2. Click the "+" button to add a new group

  3. Name your custom group

  4. Add any combination of views to organize your content effectively

Managing Custom Groups:

  1. Hover over any custom group tab to access options

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) to rename or delete the group

  3. Remember that deleting a group will move views back to their default groups

  4. Default groups (Content Views, Collections, Social Profiles Views, Creators Views) cannot be edited

The new view grouping system provides enhanced organization capabilities while maintaining all the functionality you need to manage your user-generated content effectively. This update streamlines your workflow and gives you greater control over how your content is organized and accessed.
