Super Search uses AI to find content by what it's actually about â beyond hashtags and mentions. This article covers its two advanced options: searching by an image and choosing where Super Search looks. For the basics, see All About Super Search.
Search by Image
Instead of typing a phrase, you can search with an image as your reference. Click the camera icon in the Super Search bar, then drag in or select a file. Super Search returns the UGC in your library with the most similar visual features â the same product, logo, scene, or overall look.
Upload a product photo or logo to surface UGC that features it.
Upload a top-performing post to find content with a similar composition, color palette, or setting.
Choosing Where Super Search Looks
Whether you search by phrase or by image, the Super Search Results toggle above your results controls what Super Search matches against. Switch between the three scopes to widen or narrow your search:
In Visual Search Only
Matches the visual content of the post â what actually appears on screen. Example: find posts that visually show a red soda can, even if it's never mentioned in words.
In Transcripts
Matches the words spoken in a video, from its transcription. Example: find videos where a creator says âbest sunscreenâ out loud.
In Captions
Matches the text written in the post's caption. Example: find posts whose caption mentions a giveaway or a discount code.
If a search isn't surfacing what you expect, try a different scope â a phrase written in a caption won't show up under In Visual Search Only, and vice versa.
Tips
Use high-quality reference images for better visual matches.
Start broad, then switch the scope (Visual / Transcripts / Captions) to zero in.
Combine Super Search with your other filters (post type, date, creator) to narrow results further.
