Workspace Access Blocked Screen: What It Means and How to Get Back In

What the workspace access blocked screen means and what to do when you see it.

Written by Luiza Diniz

If you land on a workspace and see a message that it's inactive, this article explains why and how to get back to your account.

Why You're Seeing This

The screen reads "This workspace is inactive," along with the workspace's name and ID (for example, "Archive-Test (ID: 12345)") so you can see exactly which workspace is affected. This happens when the subscription tied to that workspace has lapsed, ended, or been disabled — see Inactive Workspaces for why a workspace goes inactive and how to reactivate it.

If You Have Other Active Workspaces

You'll see a Switch to an active workspace option with a dropdown. Pick a workspace from Select a workspace and click Continue to switch into it right away. Log out is also available if you'd rather sign in as someone else. For more on moving between workspaces you already have, see Switching Between Workspaces.

If You Don't Have Any Active Workspace:

You'll see two options instead of the switcher:

You can also use the chat bubble in the corner of the screen to reach support directly instead of emailing.

If You Have No Workspace Access

If you see a blocked screen and don't have access to any workspace—either because your email wasn't found in the system, there was a typo, or your invitation hasn't arrived yet—you'll see actionable next steps:

  • Check for typos: Make sure you signed in with the correct email address. If you made a mistake, log out and try again.

  • Waiting for an invitation? Ask a teammate to send you an invite, or contact support if you think you should already have access.

  • Log out to sign in with a different email if needed.
