Understanding Your Dashboard
The Main View
When you first open Competitor Insights, you'll see a table with all the brands you're tracking, including your own. Each row shows key metrics that help you understand performance at a glance.
Here's what each metric means:
EMV (Earned Media Value): A measure of engagement value based on things like post type and audience size. It's relative, so use it to compare performance rather than as an absolute number.
Impressions: Actual view counts for Reels and TikToks, estimated views for Stories.
Reach: Total followers multiplied by number of posts.
Social Profiles: How many Instagram and TikTok accounts posted about the brand.
Content Count: Number of posts where the brand was tagged.
Engagements: Total likes, comments, and shares.
Engagement Rate: Engagements divided by total audience size, shown as a percentage.
Frequency: Average content per profile (Content Count divided by Social Profiles).
Potency: Average EMV per profile (EMV divided by Social Profiles).
Customizing Your View
The dashboard includes charts that make it easy to visualize the data. You can remove specific brands from the charts to focus on what matters most. Hover over any line to see detailed information.

FAQ
Where can we see our own data?
Your brand's data is shown in the "You" section of the list.
Do you filter out any data from my brand's results?
No. We don't remove private content, content from private accounts, or mentions of your own brand from the "you" section. Your data includes the full scope of your brand's presence across social platforms.
Is this an apples-to-apples comparison with my competitors?
No. Because competitor data and your data are collected differently, this is not a direct apples-to-apples comparison.
