We've developed a proprietary machine learning algorithm that calculates our media value based on a number of factors such as engagement, post type, and audience. Primarily, I would say the most important factor is engagement. This refers to things like impressions, likes, comments, shares, and each type is weighted differently.
For example, comments are more valuable than impressions, and our algorithm constantly refreshes engagement analytics on an ongoing basis to ensure that we have the most accurate metrics. The second factor is post type. All content is not, in fact, created equal, hence we treat different post types accordingly.
For example, an Instagram reel is given a higher baseline value than a story, but since reels generally take more time and effort to produce than stories, they also don't disappear in 24 hours. And the third factor is the audience. If Kim Kardashian posted something with 1 million views, and I posted something with 1 million views, we would weigh Kim Kardashian's post more favorably than someone with a smaller audience.
